This project begins with the dream of being able to share much more of our city with those who visit us for a few days, reconnect with those who have walked its streets all their lives and inspire people from all over the world to get to know our Guadalajara.
After many years of dreaming about it, in June 2018, we finally began to provide experiences, always with the faithful conviction of having fun and infecting others.
We have created everything with you in mind, who are looking to get to know the city in a fun and innovative way; no matter what part of the world you are from, your language, age, preferences or disabilities.
The important thing is that we want to share with you our culture, architecture, gastronomy, folklore and art, walk like a local and live with its people. Welcome to Guadalajara, Camina GDL.

Founder of Camina GDL. Passionate about my city and my country. Mexican by birth, by choice and by heart. For me, the most important thing is that you live the best experience!
I have been a Guadalajara guide for more than 3 years, I like how versatile this city can be. I love seeing the reaction that tourists have to new things like food, culture, places and people.
Enthusiastic about showing Guadalajara, that the visitor falls in love with its architecture, its streets, its traditions, its history. I am responsible for taking care of every detail so that each experience is unique.
Guadalajara is the most Mexican city in the country, tequila and mariachi were born in Jalisco. Visit Guadalajara with me and forget that you are on a tour, you will live this experience with a local friend as a guide.

A terrific way to start your Sunday We aren't early risers, so were concerned about being able to make it from Zapopan to Centro in time for the free walking tour. Sure enough, we were a few minutes late. But lucky for us, it was a Sunday and everyone is chill on Sundays -- two guides from Camina GDL were still in the Plaza de la Liberación with the Yellow Umbrella!!! Valeria was our host for the English tour. (Her coworker took a group of Spanish-speakers. I was so engrossed with our tour, I didn't notice them again.) Valeria took us on a tour through the history of Guadalajara as told by Centro with energy, comedy, and deep knowledge. Her enthusiasm for Guadalajara, its people, and history made the entire experience enjoyable -- even for my not-a-fan-of-a-whole-lot-of-walking husband. We learned the history of the architecture, buildings themselves, locations and pivotal figures in the establishment (and reestablishment) of Jalisco. It was actually fun. Valeria pointed out good photo spots, some controversial points, and also directed our hungry selves to a great birria taco spot when the tour was over. We'll definitely book more Camina GDL tours the next time we're in Jalisco!
Amazing Tours and Guides My husband and I scheduled multiple tours with Camina GDL during our stay in Guadalajara. First, we did the walking tour with Elaina. She did an amazing job and is very knowledgeable of the city. She kept us engaged as we were extremely exhausted from just arriving to the city. Lol. Next, we did the tasting at El Tequilieno with Elaina and Gary. The town of Tequila was so beautiful and the tour was very informative and the tequila was very heavily poured. Later that night, we did the Mexican Wrestling (Lucha Libra) with Thiego. Thiego gave us a brief tour of our meeting area and then we went to a local bar for beer and then headed to the arena. The wrestling was definitely quite the experience!! The back and forth between the audience and the wrestlers, it was just such a very interactive show. Next, we did the electric carriage ride to Tlaquepaque with Valeria and Gary. It was such a beautiful city. We ended up checking out the Cultural Center, which happened to have an event going on and to our surprise we met the Minister of Tourism. Like wow!! The tour of the candy factory was very tasty and I don't even eat chocolate!! Then going to the largest Cantina and learning the history behind that was very interesting, as well as, listening to multiple Mariachi bands play at once. Lastly, we did the tour of Lake Chapala and Ajijic with Valeria and Gary. This was such a beautiful place and I can see why so many expats retire there, it is absolutely something magical. No words can describe the beauty and calmness of this place. Overall, everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. I am so glad that we booked these trips because I don't think our vacation would have been what it was since we barely speak Spanish. Wonderful company to work with and they also provided us transportation to and from the airport. Thanks for everything Camina GDL!!
History can be fun! We just completed a wonderful walking tour of Guadalajara's "el Centro" area. Santiago, an enthusiastic University student with excellent English, guided us through the Cathedral and the four squares around it, as well as the area between the Cathedral and the Museo Cabanas. During the 90 minute tour, he shared wonderfully detailed information about the history, architecture, famous figures, paintings, language, upcoming events, nearby points of interest and popular local foods and drinks. I've read a fair amount about Guadalajara, but I learned a LOT more today, and in a delightful, upbeat and fun way.
¡GRAN EXPERIENCIA! Recorrimos el centro histórico de Guadalajara, nuestro guía, Santiago, nos explico muy bien cada parte del tour. Desde comida típica, historia, etc. Muy agradable recorrido!!! Súper recomendable 👌
